Montessori Foundation of Egypt

Established by Hala Aboulela in 2016, Montessori Foundation of Egypt functioned as a non-profit organisation in Egypt from 2017 until early 2022. Throughout this time, MFE played a pivotal role in introducing AMI and Authentic Montessori education in Egypt and other Arab countries. It supported the founding of The Montessori Institute in Cairo, as well as the first Authentic Montessori Schools in Egypt, including Nile River Montessori and Evolution International School. In August 2022, the Board of Trustees of the Montessori Foundation of Egypt decided to transition the organisation’s activities into a department under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of The Montessori Institute in Cairo (TMIC).
